At No Limits Get Active we recognise that all of us are susceptible to mental health difficulties. It is important to know that there are people out there who can help you if you are starting to feel overwhelmed. If you ever feel like things are getting too much or that you would like to talk to someone about challenges you are experiencing, REMEMBER, you are not alone, there are people with the skills and the desire to help. A list of helpful organisations are listed below. Meeting with your GP is also a very good first step.


Aware is a national voluntary organization working to bring emotional support and information to individuals and family members who are affected by depression.
Support Group in Markevicz house, Sligo, Mondays at 8pm

BeLonG To

BeLonG To is an organisation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered (LGBT) young people, aged between 14 and 23. BeLonG To is a national youth service for Lesbian Gay Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) young people in Ireland.


Childline provides a 24 hour listening service for all children up to the age of 18. Childline seeks to empower and support children using the medium of telecommunications and information technology.


Headstrong is The National Centre for Youth Mental Health – a non-profit organisation supporting young people’s mental health in Ireland.


Grow is a Mental Health Organisation which helps people who have suffered, or are suffering, from mental health problems.

Let Someone Know

Let someone know is a national suicide prevention initiative.

Pieta House

Pieta House, The Centre for the Prevention of Self-Harm or Suicide officially opened it’s doors in January 2006. 5 years later, we have seen and helped nearly 4,000 people, and opened up two Outreach Centres, and two other Centres of Excellence in both Dublin and Limerick.


Samaritans is a registered charity aimed at providing emotional support to people. They support anyone in distress, around the clock, through 201 branches across the UK and Republic of Ireland.
